The riveted cherrywood handle is perfectly balanced, and the conical grind toward the tip keeps the edge nimble without feeling flimsy. I’ve used it for a full week of detailing work, and the hardened surface still holds its shape like new.

The tip is ground so fine it feels like it’s already shaped for detail work—no breaking-in period needed. The surface is polished just enough that paint doesn’t stick where it shouldn’t, which I wasn’t expecting for a wood palette. It’s my go-to now for quick studies.
