The cherry wood feels dense and sturdy in hand, and that thin front edge really does slide under a patty without any resistance. I’ve used mine almost daily for a month and the surface still looks smooth, no stains from juices.

The 14x14 surface is plenty for a decent burger and the cherry wood looks great sitting on the counter between uses. I was worried about it being too thick to slide under patties, but that thin-ground front edge makes flipping and lifting effortless.
