The adjustment dial is so precise that I can slice truffles paper-thin one moment and switch to a thicker cut for shaving over pasta the next. It's nice to finally have a tool that feels truly solid in the hand, and knowing it's made in Solingen gives me confidence it'll last.

The dial goes from whisper-thin to medium slices without any fiddling, and it glides through a firm truffle like butter. I've used cheaper mandolines that wobbled, but this one feels rock-solid in the hand and the blade is still razor-sharp after a dozen uses.
