The blade holds its edge beautifully after a full evening of decorative cuts, and the balance in hand feels precise for detail work. Clean, sharp, and genuinely a pleasure to carve with.

Used it all afternoon carving a watermelon for a kids’ party and the hardened steel from Solingen just glided through the rind without any drag. The handle feels balanced in my hand, not too heavy, and the tip is precise enough for the fiddly bits. Cleanup took seconds, which honestly made me smile.

The blade holds a proper edge right out of the box, and the steel feels reassuringly dense in the hand. I’ve used it for a few fruit platters already, and the crisp cuts make the carving look far more skilled than I actually am.
