As someone who likes making garnishes for cheese boards, this is the first carving knife that actually lets me shape round forms without the blade catching or tearing. Getting clean, smooth cuts on a firm apple for flower shapes took minutes, not the usual frustration.

The rounded blade glides through a firm pear like butter, making those half-round petals come out clean in one pass. I’ve used it on carrots and even a block of soap, and the shape holds up without any wobble.

My first attempt at carving a rosette out of a carrot actually worked — the blade’s curve digs in at just the right angle for those petal shapes. Even after several soap carvings, it still holds an edge without needing a touch-up.
